Inner Wheel success

A highly successful fashion show held at Highnam Court was organised by Newent and District Inner Wheel Club.

The 120 people who attended enjoyed the display of clothes by Corner Shop Designers, Newent.

As a result the club presented £1,175 for Break Through Breast Cancer, a London-based charity, at an inter club lunch held at Redmarley Village Hall.

This is the second year running the club has raised more than a £1,000 for the charity.

After the lunch Jemima Parry-Jones gave a talk and took along one of her falcons from the Newent Falconry Centre.

Newent and District Inner Wheel Club has a membership of about 24 and is in its 23rd year. They hold monthly meetings in members' homes.

The club, the ladies equivalent to the Rotary Club, has shared interests.
