Newent Onion Fayre is a one day street festival of food, drink, music and merriment which attracts almost 15,000 visitors. At the heart of the festival is the Onion Show which is unique in its status in the UK. The whole town becomes a party during what has become recognised as a celebration of the first day of harvest at the end of the summer.

Planning for 2016′s Newent Onion Fayre has started!
If you would like to get involved and be part of Gloucestershire’s largest, free one day event, please come along to the Onion Fayre’s meetings which are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Market House at 7:30pm.
Come along to the meeting and help your community to organise “The Last Party of Summer”.
The Committee is looking for anyone who is willing to help out, but are particularly interested in anyone who would like to take up the publicity or secretary position.
