Town Improvements

If it�s a while since your last visit to our town you will notice that some major improvements are taking place. There is a growing interest in Newent from retailers, a number of the buildings are being renovated, shops have been improved and several new restaurants have opened.

The outstanding St. Mary�s Court development on Church Street is now complete, and work has started on both former garage sites which should see new, quality houses and retail outlets gracing the town in future years. Further work is planned for the lake and park areas which should include a children�s play area and a permanent stage for music concerts. The town centre is soon to be upgraded with new paving and ornate bus shelters, and Court Lane is being assessed for improvement.
